Ebula virus
Ebola virus is considered one of the most dangerous viruses known to infect humans. It causes a severe viral illness known as hemorrhagic fever, with mortality rates that can reach extremely high levels during some outbreaks. The virus was first identified in 1976 in Sudan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and it was named after the Ebola River located near one of the outbreak areas.
